Access to CERF is restricted to authorized individuals and is controlled by unique logins (usernames and passwords), which are authenticated at the time of login.  Your system administrator assigns a username and password (which must be changed when you first log on to CERF).  You may change your password at any time: select Sessions > Manage Account.  Your new password must adhere to the rules set in your business policy for minimum length, minimum alpha and numeric (ask your System Admin).  Note that your username (and your unique user ID, which is used by the system) will stay the same when you change your password. This does not hold true for organizations who are using LDAP.

Access to CERF Resources is controlled by role-based privileges.  You have an assigned Public Access Role for all Resources that are public; and you have assigned Workgroup Access Roles for each Workgroup to which you belong. To find out your access role for any Resource, select the Resource in the Document Tree and look at the Status pane in the Info panel (right-most panel in CERF).
